QUIRKINESS

So Blogging is a new world to me, who knew there was "blog tagging" But hopefully we can have some fun. and learn something new about each other =)

Melissa got tagged by Miss Jordy Pants and now it's my turn to answer and tag. Here is what I have to do:

1. Link the person who tagged you.
2. Mention the rules in your blog.
3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours.
4. Tag 6 following bloggers by linking them.
5. Leave a comment on each of the tagged blogger's blogs letting them know they've been tagged.

Ok so first, I don't think I have 6 other bloggers to do but hopefully I can find them, sorry if there are repeats.

My Quirks;

1.) I absolutely HATE condiments, and I am a just an overall picky eater. I can't stand Mayonnaise and I detest Mustard. I use such strong words, but really I will gag if I smell Mustard. And f course my future Husband, and Best Friend both LOVE mustard. ewww!

2.) My CW's have a Love/Hate relationship with me. The are all (save one) extremely messy people, I can't stand that! I am always cleaning up our front desk (rearranging pens, putting papers where they belong, picking up patient charts etc.) I think they appreciate it, but when I start throwing away their water bottles or putting their cups in the sink they start to get annoyed. I think I am this way at home too. But right now I have so many wedding piles it's hard to clean up. But in my new place there will be know piles. I hate when things are just not picked up. I can handle a little dust, but messiness drives me insane!

3.) Oh yes, and the closet-its color coordinated and separated by clothing type.Shirts on top rack, skirts on bottom, and a separate rod for dresses/pants. Most importantly though-its totally color coordinated. I think I learned this from my mom.

4.) Like Melissa, I crack everything crackable in my body. I think I too learned from my dad. He used to always crack his knuckles, and neck. He now says he's jealous that I can crack my back so well. But most people are kinda grossed out when I do it. My back can crack pretty loud. It is a bad habit, but it feels so good.

5.) I have this weird thing about food. I go through phases. It's mostly only with fast food, or "going-out food" (not food made at home) If I like something I will want it over and over again for a few weeks/months. Like every time my fiance asks me where should we go to eat I will say the same place, then after a while I get bored, or find a new "craving" or phase. (he doesn't always say yes, because he doesn't have this same habit. Good thing cause then we'd prob eat the same things over and over again) I'm not sure if you get it, but I can't think of another way of explaining this. This is a bad quirk when it's a bad food. Like last month I wanted cold stone's chocolate devotion I think I had it four times in one month!! That is terrible for someone who is trying to drop some inches!! At least I have the gym =) good thing I am over that. Now I am always wanting Chipotle, their burrito bowls are SO good!

6.) I know I have more quirks, but here is the last one (since that's all the asked for)
I have a phobia of bridges. It used to be of just heights in general, but I've been rock climbing and love it! So it's mostly bridges, or open higher floors. (like at the mall, I always have to walk next to the stores on the second floor, not close to the railing because then I get nervous, or nauseous.) If we drive over bridges I have to close my eyes. So bridges there you have my last quirk. Hope you had fun learning about me =)

New Disney Theme Park?!!!

While surfing the web, I found this article that I found most interesting. It is a rather old article, but I still enjoyed reading it, and it sparked the imagination in a major way. My mind started to be filled with ideas for this "new" Disney Park. First off, I must give credit where credit is due, this article was written by a one Mr. Al Lutz on the website MousePlanet.com. This web site always has interesting information on Disney parks, and I especially enjoy Mr. Lutz's articles. Anyways, the link is:
http://www.mouseplanet.com/dca/america.htm

I did some further digging and learned that there will be a third Disney park! Although I don't LOVE california adventure, I like it. And I'm a Disney girl at heart, so I'm super excited what the park will entail!

But I do have hopes for California Adventure, check this out

Super interesting, scroll down to expansion plans =)

BLD Knottie Get Together!

Tonight I went to another Knottie Get Together! We went to BLD in LA. http://www.bldrestaurant.com Yummy food! It was a lot of fun! We had a smaller group this time, so we really got to get to know eachother a bit better. As always I can't wait for the next one. I wonder if I will ever be able to move over to the nest. I just LOVE being a knottie!

MMMMMM.......Cake Tasting!

Friday, Josue and his mom, and me and my mom went to Beverly's Best Bakery in Fullerton. This was our first wedding cake tasting, and we were about ready to sign with them, but we wanted to hold off and wait to see if we can find a bakery that has red velvet cake (my favorite)
However this bakery had a unique cookies and cream filling that was AMAZING!!!

This is a picture of my parents wedding cake, we are modeling our wedding cake after this one, cause we like the "two hearts become one" theme that my parents had at their wedding. I know it's kinda corny, but it's sweet.

Our cake will have three tiers stacked on top of eachother, with two heart shaped cakes on the side. The tiers will have black ribbon on the bottom, and white scrolls. The heart shaped cakes will have black scrolls.

The accents on our cake table will be red, as well as the cake topper so the cake will be black and white. But this picture shows an idea of what the scrolls will look like. And we will have NO flowers on our cake. I don't like the idea of live flowers on our food. I keep picturing bugs in our cake ;)

Wedding Trends of 2008

These are some interesting wedding trends that I read about, thought I would share. Some of them I love, some of them I hate. But I think everyone should have a unique wedding, with whatever trends they want, and whatever elements they love! The unique weddings are always the one's I remember the most!

First trend: glam. Yes indeed, glamorous weddings are in this year. Say goodbye to the simple and quiet wedding. The trend this year is to shout it out to the rest of the world and let everyone know about your wedding. Elegance and sophistication are the themes for this year’s weddings. Then again, this is just a trend and it does not mean that you should follow it. Good for those who have a taste for the glamorous, though!
Second trend: pay particular attention to the back of the wedding dress. Common sense will tell us that most of the time, the wedding guests will be seeing the back of the bride as she will be facing the minister. As such, the trend is for embellished backs. No matter which style you choose for your dress, try to add a little more detail and flair to the back of your gown.
Third trend: go for something that will make a statement. This is in regard to the color theme for the wedding ceremony. From the bride’s gown and the groom’s suit to the flowers and decorations, the trend is to use rich and bold colors such as purple, gold, orange, and the like. Gone are the days of cute and sweet pastels. Of course, you have to choose something that you actually like. More than that, make sure the color of your gown will suit your skin tone as well. Making a statement does not mean that you should not take your aesthetics into consideration as well.
Fourth trend: be square! Being square is a good thing, when it comes to tables that is. Round and rectangular tables for the reception are not the in thing this year, mainly because square tables facilitate interaction among the guests better. More than that, it is easier to plan the layout of the reception area when using square tables. Adding decorations are also better with square tables.

Knottie Get Together

So, as some of you know I am part of the Knot's message boards. We call ourselves "knotties" I have had so much fun "talking" and "listening" to all the other brides to be, and recent brides, and even the one's who call themselves hags. =) We all have our pet-peeves, but never are too critical. Mostly it's giving and receiving advice about weddings, and other stuff too. I guess if you're not part of it, you may not understand it. Well anyways a lot of us got together on Saturday 2/23 in Burbank, and had a long lunch, a very long lunch! We had such a great time! The girls are great, and I hope we all keep in touch, even if it is just on the knot! So for those of you that know the lingo here are some pictures from our recent knottie GTG. Thanks Anne for the pictures.
