Job Interview

Today I have a second Job Interview. My regular Full-Time just doesnt make ends meet, since this is our slow season. I'm too loyal, and attached to quit. So I decided to get an extra job. My Aunt works for someone that needed a Fill-In Nanny. So I met with the regular full time Nanny last friday. She seemed to like me, and I really liked her, so I am meeting at the house this afternoon. I am really excited to meet the little girl, I love children, and this would be an amazing expierence for me! So fingers crossed, as I really would love this job, and the extra money.

Why Damask??

Ok so I came across a few knottie bio's and I became obessesd with Damask.

According to Wikipedia: Damask (Arabic: دمسق) is a figured fabric of silk, wool, linen, cotton, or synthetic fibers, with a pattern formed by weaving. Made with one warp and one weft in which, generally, warp-satin and weft sateen weaves interchange. Twill or other binding weaves may sometimes be introduced. The term originally referred to ornamental silk fabrics, which were elaborately woven in colours, sometimes with the addition of gold and other metallic threads. Damask was first produced in China, India, Persia, and Syria, then the Byzantine Empire followed. In the West, it was first known as diaspron or diaper, the term used in Constantinople. In the 12th century however, the city of Damascus, famous for its textiles, so far outstripped all other places for beauty of design that it gave the cloth its modern name.

Interesting right??? ;)

I really am inspired, and hope it's not too late to incorporate it into my wedding!!!!

Dollar Tree Direct

I found this great website through work, because we buy labels in bulk, but apparently, for people planning large events, or whatever you can use Dollar Tree Direct a website the store Dollar Tree recently started up , where you can buy anything you see in a store, in bulk. I think this service is fairly new. Here is a write-up from the press release on Retail Net.

Dollar Tree has launched an e-commerce site called "Dollar Tree Direct" (www.dollartreedirect.com) designed for customers who want to purchase large quantities of items from the store.Customers can submit orders via electronic submission, fax or by phone. No matter what method they choose, shoppers will have the chance to speak with a customer-service representative who will check on availability of requested items and process payments.

It doesn't look like a whole lot that I've seen in the stores is on the web site yet, but as long as you have the product number you can call-in an order.
